Hull Storm
Hull Storm is a space survival shooter where you only have to worry about flying. Your ship fires on its own, so every second goes into weaving through drones, raiders, gunships and dashers while you scoop up the glowing crystals they leave behind. Survive ten minutes and the run is won, but the waves grow thicker and tougher every minute, and two motherships arrive to test your build.
Each level-up offers a choice of three upgrades from six weapons and six passive systems, from a scatter cannon and an ion lance to orbiting drones, seeker missiles and a nova pulse. Every upgrade goes up to level five, and a fully upgraded weapon paired with its matching system can be evolved by a chest into a far stronger form. Elite enemies drop those chests, and magnets, repair kits and bombs turn up along the way.
Every run pays out credits, win or lose. Spend them in the hangar on two more ships, each with its own starting weapon, hull and speed, and on six permanent upgrades for firepower, armor, engines, pickup range, reload speed and salvage. You get one free revive per run, a couple of free rerolls and strike-outs on the level-up screen, and your best survival time goes on the leaderboard. Progress saves automatically and follows a free TapNPlay account to any device.
How to play
- Fly your ship by dragging anywhere on the screen, or with WASD, the arrow keys or a gamepad stick. Your weapons aim and fire by themselves.
- Fly over the crystals enemies drop to gain experience. Each level-up lets you choose one of three upgrades; use New choices to reroll or the cross to strike a card out for the rest of the run.
- Bring a weapon to level 5 and own its partner system, then open a chest from an elite enemy or a mothership to evolve it.
- Survive for ten minutes to win. If your hull breaks you can revive once per run.
- Spend the credits you earn in the hangar on new ships and permanent upgrades.
